Company History

The origins of United Health Supplies began in 1978 in Los Angeles, California. Pearl Berman had worked for the United States Government in medical supply procurement for many years and saw an opportunity within that field to provide those supplies to school districts and other governmental agencies. Robert Kelemen, Pearl’s son-in-law, is a registered pharmacist who owned four pharmacies in west Los Angeles in the 1970’s.

The business was a small operation at the time of Pearl’s passing in 1982. Bob and Pearl’s daughter, Joanne Berman, decided to grow the business through mailers and bid lists. Joanne continues to this day as the company’s chief financial officer The business grew at an unbelievable rate during the 1980’s, relocating 4 times within 5 years. The growth was soon halted by the Northridge earthquake of 1994. Bob & Joanne decided to move the business to Las Vegas the year after. In 1997, their son Jeffrey expressed interest in a retail location which opened to the public soon after. With the growth of mobility equipment & sales, Bob & Joanne’s other son Brian was soon trained as a certified technician and fitter. Everything Medical is now in its 12th year serving the greater Las Vegas population. United Health Supplies continues to grow nationally, currently doing business in 42 states. Our family is dedicated to serving you, our customer, is the most helpful way we know how. After all, it is our customers that have brought us to where we are today.
